Cast nylon sheet
Works like metal. Weighs one seventh of steel.
Cast nylon sheet is a plate made of cast polyamide, known as PA6G. It resists wear and impact, does not rust and can run without lubrication. Buy the sheet as it is, have it cut to size, or order finished parts. New to this material? Start with what is cast nylon.

Approximate. Uses 1.15 g/cm³ for cast nylon and 7.85 g/cm³ for steel. It gives weight only. We confirm production of the size in the quote.

What is the difference between cast nylon and PA6G?
They are the same material: cast polyamide 6. KESTAMİT and CASTOMID® are our registered trademarks for it. Read more in what is cast nylon.
What temperature can cast nylon withstand?
Typically up to +100 °C in continuous use and 170 to 180 °C for short periods. Above that, it may be the wrong material. See cast nylon temperature limits.
What determines the price of cast nylon sheet?
Size, thickness, quantity and machining. That is why we quote your size rather than publish a fixed list. You can check the weight in the calculator and carry it to the quote form with one click.
Can cast nylon replace a metal part?
In many sliding and wearing parts it can, and it makes the machine lighter. If the load is very high, metal may be needed. Tell us where the part works. See cast nylon vs bronze.
Does moisture change the size of cast nylon?
Cast nylon absorbs moisture and its size can change a little. If your part has tight tolerances, tell us at the start and we will agree the size for its working environment.
